Using social media platforms together

It is now common for businesses to use some kind of social media website to promote themselves; one expert has been examining the advantages of using more than one.

In a post for Marketing Pilgrim, Cynthia Boris commented that using email marketing in conjunction with Facebook and Twitter can boost the success of each tool.

She suggests cross-promoting each service – so, mentioning the company's Twitter feed in marketing emails or their Facebook page on Twitter can encourage users to pay attention to more than one.

Ms Boris stresses it is important to show consumers that their business is appreciated and that it is worth their while to sign up to the various services.

Kevin Gibbons of SEOptimise, writing for Search Engine Watch, recently commented that using social media platforms is a great way for companies to create a buzz about their products online.
